How to Care for Your Real Tree
Follow these essential steps to keep your real tree healthy, vibrant, and fragrant throughout the season.
-
1. The Fresh Cut
Saw 1 inch off the base before putting it into a water-holding stand to open its pores and allow it to drink.
-
2. Keep it Hydrated
Real trees can drink up to 2 pints of fresh water a day. Always top up your tree stand daily.
-
3. Watch the Heat
Position your tree away from direct heat sources like radiators, open fires, or intense underfloor heating.

What is the difference between a Nordmann Fir and a Norway Spruce?
The Nordmann Fir has soft, rounded needles highly resistant to dropping, making it great for indoors. The Norway Spruce is the traditional tree; it has a stronger pine fragrance and sharper needles, but requires more watering.
